Australian Eastern Standard Time is ten hours ahead of UTC. Queensland keeps it year-round; New South Wales, Victoria, the ACT and Tasmania switch to Australian Eastern Daylight Time in their summer.

Queensland stays on AEST all year, while Sydney and Melbourne use it only in winter — so eastern Australian cities are not always on the same clock as each other.
